ODEON says...
‘Get Out’ is the bone-chilling story of Chris’ first meeting with his girlfriend’s parents, who didn’t know he’s black. And lots of black men have gone missing in their neighbourhood…

At first they seem friendly, if a little nervous, but a strange, sinister undercurrent runs through every conversation. And when Chris learns the terrible truth, he needs to find a way to escape – but it’s easier said than done.

The directorial debut of Jordan Peele, ‘Get Out’ is a tense, twisty thriller about the horror of racism in white suburbia.

Starts well

Very creepy start, increasing tension and absurdity during the middle (not bad), and a gore-fest silly slasher ending. Ugh.

Not Sure .......

Whilst the idea for this film was great the story just fell short. Funny in places, frightening now and again, unbelievable often. The film felt rushed, and at the end, we both thought what on earth was that all about. A bit of a let down.

Original but...

This movie was certainly a breath of fresh air in terms of its concept. It just lets itself down a little by losing its bottle in the last act in becoming a bit cliched. Don't let that put you off as it's still a great film and enjoyable watch. 4/5
