Set in America in 1962, Green Book tells the heart-warming true story of Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen), a working-class Italian-American bouncer who takes on a job as a chauffeur for Dr. Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali), a highly-educated African-American classical pianist. The mismatched pair embark on a two-month tour of concert venues in the racially charged deep south and discover they're on the road to a meaningful and unique friendship.

I love films based on true experiences. This film was such a well written story of discrimination, friendship, both witty and moving. Thoroughly enjoyed and found it thought provoking

Wonderful film - captivating, engaging, sad and funny. A full emotional workout that ended with us thinking about this film for many, many days afterwards. Don't miss seeing it.

"Best Picture" grabbed my interest. However, the lead-in caption, "Inspired by true life events" was the precursor of cliche after cliche and a guilt trip. A disservice to the real life events. What a waste of an otherwise gift of a storyline.

A lovely story

Didn't know what to expect but this one of the best films I've ever seen. Racist football fans should watch this. Yes it was a little cheesy, especially the black club where he stepped and played the piano. Go and see it.
