ODEON says...
Acclaimed writer and director Rian Johnson pays tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie in 'Knives Out', a fun, modern-day murder mystery where everyone is a suspect.

When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan's dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan's untimely death.

With an all-star ensemble cast including Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford and Jaeden Martell, 'Knives Out' is a witty and stylish whodunit guaranteed to keep audiences guessing until the very end.

Falls Away

Reviewer: Bond 2Date: 2020-01-12

Ana de Armas and Toni Collette start off well, but then the intensity of characters falls away to accommodate a complex plot. I found Daniel Craig’s accent awkward.

Christmas fare

Took a chance on this one and was quite pleased. Shows what you can do with a bunch of good character actors. Tangled plot, thankfully unwound at the end. Slows a bit in the middle and for some reason a car chase is worked in. Watchable Xmas fare.

Very good film

Having seen the trailer earlier in the year and many times through the summer, was expecting to be blown away however I simply enjoyed it from start to finish. The cast is littered with Hollywood's finest however it's Toni Colette who is best.

Great fun
