Nominated for 3 BAFTA Film Awards including Outstanding British Film & Leading Actor.

'Stan & Ollie' tells the story of how Laurel and Hardy, with their golden age long behind them, embark upon a tour of the music halls of Britain and Ireland.

Despite the stresses of the tour, past resentments coming back to light, and Hardy's failing health, the show must go on: in the end, their love of performing - and of each other - ensures that they secure their place in the hearts of the public.

Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly are 'Stan & Ollie' in the true story of Hollywood's greatest comedy double act.

I would award two stars for the two actors in the lead parts and the fact that the script does not contain offensive language! However for film accuracy it is a travesty and one should view this film for entertainment only. Not a lot of laughs.

Enjoyable

A sensitive portrayal of the friendship between Laurel and Hardy. Intelligently written with outstanding performances from Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly; their likeness to Laurel and Hardy is uncanny. A bittersweet, poignant film and I loved it.

Superb

A film about the importance of friendship. Laurel & Hardy set out to reconnect with their adoring fans by touring Britain in 1953. First Class in every possible sense. It will make you laugh & cry in equal measure. Sublime acting from both main leads.
