While England is at war with France and an increasingly frail Queen Anne occupies the throne, Lady Sarah and new servant Abigail fight to be 'The Favourite' of their Queen.

Sarah is Anne's closest friend, and is often forced to manage the country in her stead. And her absences from Anne's side give Abigail the chance to slip in and become the Queen's new companion, with a possibility of finally fulfilling her ambitions.

Men, women, politics or rabbits won't stand in her way in 'The Favourite', starring Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz.

I really enjoyed this movie, more than I actually thought I would. The performance from all actors/actresses is incredible, and the story is interesting. It's a definite recommendation to watch.

boring, boring, boring, could not wait for the film to end, thought it must get better at some point but no, good acting by Olivia Colman, but from start to finnish it was a load of swearing and filth, I don't see the point in such trash.

Very sad to say this was far from what I'd expected/ hoped (given the cast). We were warned about the language but even so, the repeated use of the 'c' word was unnecessary & cringeworthy. Apart from the distracting audio 'noises' at various points throughout the film, there was a totally bizarre dance scene, containing some very modern moves which didn't come across as funny - just simply weird! At the end, I overheard another viewer voice the exact same thing I was thinking . . . "what! Is that it????".

All hype

This film doesn’t live up to the hype I’m afraid. All the funny moments are in the trailer, and Olivia Colman is under utilised. The cast is an amazing ensemble of actors, but weren’t used to their full capacity I felt.
