An interesting and unpredictable film, even though I was waiting for the inevitable ending - which didn't quite happen. Thoroughly enjoyable, two great actors (whom I don't normally like in truth!), but I have to say everyone is right - well worth it

Possibly the best film I have seen in the last ten years. A masterclass in acting from both Mirren and McKellen with more twists than a corkscrew.

Very enjoyable

A great movie, brilliantly acted. We really enjoyed waiting to see how it would end, and we weren't disappointed!

Nice link to 1943 Berlin. However, the film is unconvincing in too many respects. City cheats were like this 50 years ago but not now; doctors don’t make house calls like this anymore; young people collaborate but not in the loose way depicted, etc
